One of the recurring themes from HITEC was the lack of knowledge regarding touch screen technology. Many vendors used touch screens in their booths to showcase their products but when asked, not many knew who the integrator was (most thought that the manufacturer (ie. LG) made the touch screens), no one could tell me what type of touch technology was on the display they were using and no vendor could answer why they would want DST over optical in some hospitality applications but in others optical is more appropriate.
